DuraBelt Material Substitutes

Cross-substitution chart

Eagle Orange® 85A -- Dura-Belt often uses Eagle Orange material, as it is an excellent belting material. Dura-Belt's own orange cord is made from same brand of polyurethane, but we use a different orange colorant. Either can be substituted for the other.

Polycord® 90A -- Dura-Belt's rough green Cyclothane-A 88A is similar and can be substituted for it. See Polycord®

Pyrathane® 83A -- We are virtually certain that Dura-Belt's Cyclothane-A 83A is made from the same brand of polyurethane -- an excellent belting material. However, ours is 100% virgin urethane, whereas Pyrathane contains some regrind (re-used waste). Our waste urethane is sent to a division that makes inexpensive hose from it.

Pyrathane® 83ADP7 -- Dura-Belt's Cyclothane-E 85A is very similar and can be substituted for it. However, ours is 100% virgin urethane, whereas Pyrathane contains some regrind (re-used waste). Our waste urethane is sent to a division that makes inexpensive hose from it.

Pyrathane® 88A -- We are virtually certain that Dura-Belt's smooth Cyclothane-A 88A is made from the same brand of polyurethane -- an excellent belting material. However, ours is 100% virgin urethane, whereas Pyrathane contains some regrind (re-used waste). Our waste urethane is sent to a division that makes inexpensive hose from it.

Pyrathane® 92AE -- Dura-Belt's Cyclothane-A 92A is similar and can be substituted for it. However, ours is 100% virgin urethane, whereas Pyrathane contains some regrind (re-used waste). Our waste urethane is sent to a division that makes inexpensive hose from it.
